Caroline ABRAM is an optician who experienced working with several eye wearing designers before starting to design herself. Caroline ABRAM now creates jewelleries and accessories for the eyewear industry. She was raised in Dakar where she decided to open a workshop producing handcrafted products. Her company has been awarded two Simo d’Or and is named after the Senegalese tree from this area: the Filao. It’s during one of Caroline’s trips that she fell in love with Florida. In 2008 she designed her own line of glasses, a line that has been influenced by the unusual charm of Miami.
The sixties, vintage trends and South Beach have inspired Caroline a lot: “Le Papillons” collection is colourful and feminine and occasionally features glitters whereas the “Rétrolights” and “Rétropaques” are both masculine and feminine styles. Because they’re elegant, simple and original, Caroline ABRAM’s frames are the perfect choice for those who are nostalgic of those years when girls would dance to the rhythm of rock n’ roll, while the fi rst man would walk on the moon. Les Papillons de Nuit are ultra glamorous, feminine and decorated with glitters. The Papillons de Jour (decorated with resin) are instead a new concept of femininity and charm and give you a sexy/retro, smart look. The shimery and sweet Rétropaques and Rétrolights combine comfort and elegance. Life is always in Technicolor with Caroline ABRAM.
